*  Malihini Keiki Care reserves the right to change rates and policies when we deem necessary.  Guests will be notified of changes before the effect of a new policy or rate. 

RATES

bASE rATE: (4 hour minimum)

$30/hour for one child with a 4-Hour Minimum​.

$6 per hour for each additional child

$20 Travel Fee for each assignment

Additional Fees:

*Please Note: Gratuities are not included & credit card information obtained at the time of reservation is used for confirmation and cancellation purposes only.  Guests pay nannies directly.

$6 per hour between midnight and 8 AM.

$6 per hour for any hours that exceed an 8 hour period.

$40 fee for requests with less than 24  hours’ notice .

BACK

An additional $20 travel fee will be charged for breaks exceeding 1 hour between assignments. 

CANCELATION POLICY

After Booking

Cancelation Policy

Once a reservation is confirmed, the guest is responsible to pay for all hours booked, even if hours are shortened.  If Nanny is available guest may change times as long as the duration is the same. Each session is considered a separate booking. Guests may cancel 2 of their requested sessions with 24 hours’ notice without charges.

Any further cancellations even with 24 hours’ notice will be charged to guest for any further hours booked in full to nanny. 2 or more changes to original request once confirmed may invalidate guests assigned nanny.

 

A four hour minimum at the confirmed hourly rate will be assessed if cancellation is received with less than 24 hour notice. Cancellations received with less than one hour notice will also incur the current travel fee.

A $200 cancellation fee will be assessed to any request of four days or longer cancelled with less than five days’ notice before the first scheduled request.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

1.

Nannies will not bring your children into the open ocean unless the parent or guardian is in the water with the child and nanny. 

 

2.

Nannies are not permitted to bring your child off property, or in their personal vehicle. If you would like to leave property with your nanny, it is recommended the nanny may take their own vehicle separately and meet you at the designated area. (Nannies are able to drive golf-carts on property.)
 

3.

Parents are required to give their contact information to the nanny in case of emergencies. In the event of an emergency where the parent cannot be contacted, the nanny will contact emergency services.

HOLIDAY INFORMATION

tIME & a Half Holidays

Double rate holidays

  • Valentine's Day

  • Thanksgiving (6am to 6am following day): Thanksgiving Cancellation Policy: If Thanksgiving Day requests are canceled with less than 3 days’ notice, the total amount of hours requested will be charged at the double rate.
  • Christmas Eve & Christmas Day (Dec. 24th 6a thru Dec. 26th 6a), and New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day (Dec. 31st 6a - Jan. 2nd 6a). Additional Fees: Nanny will charge $6 per hour for each additional child as well as $6 additional per hour after an 8-hour period and between the hours of 12a and 8a. The additional fees double on Holidays. Travel fee does not double on Holidays. Minimum hours per shift is 4 hours (a 4-hour shift cannot be split) and breaks in between shifts of 1 hour or more will incur an additional travel fee. Late Fee ($40.00) is incurred if a booking is requested with less than a 24-hour notice of requested start time.
  • Holiday Cancellation 12/24,12/25,12/31 & 1/1: If a scheduled booking for the Christmas/New Year’s Holiday is cancelled after December 9th, the hours booked will be charged at the Holiday Double Rate even with 24 hours' notice. These cannot be cancelled after Dec 9th.

NANNIES

NANNIES ARE not employees, subcontractors, or agents of MKC. MKC makes no warranties, written implied, regarding the nature and the quality of the provided child care and accept no liability for the service rendered by providers including, but not limited to, any negligent acts by the providers resulting in injury to children under their care or damage to the property of the children, parents, hotel or resort.

When hiring nannies, we ensure they meet the following qualifications:
  • Infant & Child First Aid & CPR
  • Criminal clearance
  • Medical and TB clearance
  • Drug tested
  • Previous childcare experience
  • Written references
  • Have attended required training
  • They will have MKC picture identification and be committed to giving you service with Aloha!

Illnesses


Due to the large number of guests cancelling their requests because they have contracted one of the above , we have had to impose the following guidelines.

All requests that have been confirmed with a nanny must submit a Physicians note or official PCR test documenting the person who has tested positive on the reservation. We will then cancel with no charge for requests up to 3 days.

Requests of 4 days or longer will incur a $200 cancellation fee as the nanny has set aside a long period of time to accommodate the guest and much staff time has been dedicated to set up a longer request. Thank you for your understanding.
